I submitted my Apply Texas application for UT Austin. To self-report high school classes, I need a UT EID.

I apparently have a UT EID which was most likely assigned when my school submitted transcripts. In any case, I did not personally apply for the UT EID.

The problem is that I do not know the temporary password that was assigned with the UT EID. I am not able to use the reset password option as I do not know the temp. password. So I am at a standstill and cannot get any help within the system.

I submitted the main part of the application through Apply Texas. Is Dec. 1 also the deadline to submit high school coursework? If so, I am in trouble as I cannot access the system.

Has anyone encountered this or know of a way to solve this?

UT EIDs are created after 2-3 days within submitting your applytexas app. UT sends you an email that looks like this:

APPLICATION STATUS
To help you complete your application, the university provides an online application status page called MyStatus at <a href=“Sign in with your UT EID - Stale Request”>Sign in with your UT EID - Stale Request. The site identifies the items that we’ve received and those that you still need to submit. Visit the MyStatus page throughout the application process until the site informs you that your application is complete.

Because of the site’s security, you will need to log in using your UT EID (electronic identifier) and password. If this is the first time you are logging in to a UT Austin online service using your UT EID, follow the instructions on the sign-in page and create a new password.

Your UT EID: …

(Your UT EID and password are not the same as your ApplyTexas application ID and password.)

And the high school coursework is due by dec 10th, as are documents uploaded through the document upload system. Test scores are due by dec 31st.

Hope I helped :)

Thank you very much. I received it as you outlined.
