SAT scores were sent in August and transcript was received August 28. We received no notification of UT receiving them. I know from them telling me that today on the phone when I called admissions for help.
The application and essays were submitted October 12 and I have the email verifying it. Fast forward to today, and nothing is still showing up on my son’s “My Status”. There are not tabe. Just the little box that says:
"Welcome to your Application Status Check
We don’t have an application on file for you. Please visit the Apply page to learn about applying for admission.
But I submitted an application. What should I do now?" So I called.
TAMU, UTA, OK State has had no issue with his transcripts. None. UT flagged his file, never notifying my son, that his transcript was incomplete from his high school, and they were waiting on the one from his other high school. My son has only attended one high school ever and the transcript UT received was from the same batch as the other schools received, that he obtained the first week of June after his Junior year.
The admissions people could not help me. I needed to speak with someone that deals in transcripts. I was given a name and a number and she did not answer her phone all day (made 5 calls between 9 and 5) and there is no voicemail. After 7 rings, a message comes on saying that service is not available at this time, please call back later.
Should I order another transcript from school and open it, scan it and use the uploader to resend it or mail another. Two friends did it this way with their kids that were auto admit and it was accepted.
Thoughts?
Is it possible to get an official transcript from DS’s school in 1 day?
I would be tempted to try calling again Monday morning to see if UT can resolve the issue. If still no answer, I’d request a new transcript & upload the document as soon as you were able to obtain it.
I have been accused of going overboard but I would do both- order a paper copy to upload and call Monday…
I ordered a paper copy in June and uploaded it in August even though it showed that they had received the electronic version. This paid off at another school where my school failed to include S rank on electronic version and I could point to the uploaded copy.
I think we will order copies Monday and send them electronically and call again, to cover all of our bases.
I didn’t realize they could be scanned and accepted. Our high school does not send the transcripts from end of Jr year electronically. We can request hard copies and then we have to mail them in. Of all the schools to give us trouble, is the one he wants to attend the most and wasn’t an auto admit. However, it pales in comparison to the issue when the college my daughter was to attend un-admitted her because another student with the same name responded to an email solicitation stating that they has committed elsewhere. No Campus ID number was given. Instead of just taking that KAP off of their distribution list, they un-admitted my KAP. Took 3 weeks to process the refund from Reslife so we didn’t know for 3 weeks, in which time they had also given away her dorm room to another student. Took only 3 days to resolve but what a nightmare. Had to go over the head of reslife as they were gong to reassign her a room with no known roommate, to Dean of Student Affairs to get her back in original room with selected roommate.
