UT on accepting Visa

I just paid my enrollment deposit that only accepts Mastercard, Disovery, and I forgot the other one. However, they do not accept Visa...So I was just wondering for paying tuition online and such, does the school accept Visa? Or does it all-around not accept it?

I don't know how to look it up on the school website and need to know if I should transfer money to a new card.

I have’t ran across anything that allows me to pay Visa.

No Visa that I’ve seen.

What’s funny is that the University federal credit union offered through utexas issues a visa debit card. Oh, the irony.

Yeah I’m starting here in the fall and this is already annoying me.

I just pay directly from my bank account instead of signing up for a new card.

Sorry for bump, but I was wondering paying for tuition is ok with my bank but how about other stores and shops inside the UT area?

If you pay tuition and fee with a credit card (Amer Exp, Discovery or Master), a non-refundable 2.3% convenience chagre will be added to all payments. It is better to pay with a eCheck or EFT (electronic funds transfer), IMO.

Pay in person at the Cashier’s office is also an option. They accept personal check, Cashier’s check, money order or cash but not credit or debit card.

How do you pay directly from your bank account? I tried that and it said I had to upgrade or something?

I just figured out how to pay by EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer). What you would do is click on the “Web EFT form” or “EFT set up” or anything that has EFT on the left side of your “what I owe page” You would then enter your bank details; account number, routing number, etc and authorize UT to withdraw money this way. Then click on the EFT circle (under echecks) on the page that totals what you owe.
This way, you won’t use up all the checks in your checkbook or have to get a creditcard.

EFT-An electronic withdrawal of funds from your bank account using pre-established authorization. An upgraded UT EID is required. If you have gone to orientation, your EID will be upgraded.

eCheck-It does not require an upgraded UT EID, and can be used by students or anyone acting as an eProxy. It is an online payment from your checking account.
