Im here for help. I've already got offers for undergraduate from Mcgill and University of Toronto. Both are fantastic schools, but here comes the question.Which is better?I heard that mcgill is facing with financial crisis these days, will it be effected by this?

I would choose McGill, especially if you want to go to medical school. U of T curves grades down like CRAZY in order to weed people out since they take so many. Over the summer, I talked to a U of T student who told me that her professor told her “Look at the person to your right, and look at the person to your left. On average, only one of you will graduate from this program 4 years from now.” McGill has harsh grades too, but it’s not AS bad. Also, U of T’s has a bigger student body, and I feel that McGill has more of a community. And as a bonus, you’ll get to brush up on your French skills :P

I agree with most of what OrchidBloom says, but I wouldn’t worry about flunking out. Yes, UofT is hard, but it’s not like failing is a big problem.

Yeah sorry, I didn’t really mean that you would flunk out…most of the people don’t actually fail out, but just take an extra year or something, or switch into a different program. But the grade deflation that is associated with weeding people out lowers everyone’s marks.
