You can still take it. There is another UGS “Latin American Environmental History” that is almost exactly the same as a GRG Class called “Geography of Latin America” (same teacher). It will count.

Although I would recommend not taking that UGS… it’s kinda a lame/boring one from what I’ve heard.

And if you got credit for AB and take Calc II, you should be good as far as calculus goes, yes.

oh i just asked in another thread. but okaay thanks. i wasn’t sure if it depends on what the course is called or what it counts for.
really? my advisor told me it’s super interesting and there’s like field trips and fun labs and such. plus the honors level has a discussion group which i figured would be fun. idk

one more question, to count how many hours i have i count the first number in the name of the course i got credit for, right? like GEO 303 is 3 hours? and is there a limit to how many hours you can have that aren’t classes you took at UT?

Yes, the first number is the number of hours.

And no, there is not a limit. I came in with 46 hours of AP credit, and I plan on claiming 3 more soon.

Just be careful claiming hours that don’t apply to your degree, you might end up with too many hours (like I am in danger of) and you’ll be virtually forced to graduate early. But as long as you don’t end up with 165 hours after your 4 years/8 semesters at UT, you’ll be fine. Any more than that (45 over your degree requirement) you’ll get charged nonresident tuition. This really isn’t relevant to you though.

i’m going to be coming in with 36 (assuming i pass my clep tests). But yeah that means I can take 16 hours every semester and still be okay.

46 hours, woww!

Most likely you can just take 12 hours every semester until you graduate. That should still give you more than 120.

For eveyone whose scores STILL aren’t on the UT site:
The next batch of scores are being sent out today.

jackdaniels: Hello again. My advice is to be careful of the credit you claim credit for classes with our major because our degree plan is very specific. Like, I wouldn’t claim credit for foreign language (since we need almost 4 years of it) unless Germany is gonna be your focus.

do you have any idea what time scores are usually released on the UT website?

anyone get their AP scores yet today?

…mine still aren’t up :/
