I'm a freshman at A&M and wanting to transfer to UT Austin.
This first semester, I didn't do as well as I would have liked and my GPA was a 3.5 with 12 hours. This next semester I plan on getting all As with 18 hours (welp! but it must be done) and my GPA will average out to be a 3.8 to a 3.793 (one of the classes is a pass/fail class)
I wanted to transfer to the liberal arts department, psychology to be exact. What are my chances? And although my GPA will be higher than what I have right now, how does a 3.5 look in the first place?
I also have 70 hours of service from Winter Break (I worked really hard this break ok) that are just from this school year. I'm having three rec letters: two from service organizations, one from a professor. I am not too worried about essays, I almost always do well on them. Though if anyone wants to give me an idea what you write for the "Statement of Purpose" prompt, that would be lovely, and I would adore you till the end of time.
Basically, I'm sweating bullets here, and I could really use some advice!
Also, one more thing.
Do you know what would be better? I was going to turn in the form around Feb 1st, and it's due March 1st. That extra couple of weeks gives me more time to put more stuff on my resume, but is it better to just turn it in early?
Thankyou to anyone who takes the time to read and respond, it means a lot to me :)

UT isn’t very picky but don’t expect to get much aide/merit awards as a transfer
