-i live in vancouver and have been here for 4 years, planning to go to sciences/premed in university. i'm having trouble deciding between these three because all are really good universities. sigh.
btw i will probably be receiving some money from UBC, but don't know for the other two. but vancouver is kind of boring. so i don't know.

I'm a U of T final year humanities/social science undergrad. The consensus seems to be that University of Toronto is best with science (esp. life sci/medicine) whereas McGill is superior in the Humanities (I kinda wish I'd gone there for undergrad, but whatever). UBC is also really good for biology or so my cousin says. UofT is also very stingy when it comes to money so if you get any congrats.

Mcgill is famous for it's medical sciences...
UT stingy with money??? I thought they spent a lot of money on the students and facilities?! Not sure...but I received an offer including 7000canadian dollars total from UT...i thought tht was pretty cool :D
On another note, how's the quality of life and living standards in UT?

Holy ****, that amount of money is unheard of.

Um, as for social life, it really depends. We're not a party school at all. The students that aren't very serious tend to flunk out in first of second year. Despite that, you won't spend all your time studying either. I'm a commuter student (born and raised a ten minute walk away from campus, so why would I move out?) and I still spent quite a bit of my time at U of T partying, clubbing, and forgetting what I did last night and who I did it with. So, it really does depend on how well you click with the people you will be living with. If you have any other questions, feel free to post here or PM me.

Hey Phoenix thanks for the info...I'm a bit worried abt the size of UofT, as it's quite big, and some ppl have said that the uni tends to be too bureaucratic, and not personal enough. My college is New College...could you tell me a bit about the people that tend to apply to New? I also wanna do a double major/graduate with honors...is that going to take up most of my time at UofT? I realize that these are really random quetions, but I really wanna get to know the university before I go there...Thanks a lot!!!
