Hi I was just recently accepted off the waitlist at UNC so I'm recondsidering my decision to go to UT for the fall of 2010. I am in state at UT and I have lived in Austin my entire life. The OOS cost would definitely have an impact, but I have heard that it is possible to get in state tuition at UNC by doing a few things. Any input on my decision would be helpful.

What do you plan on studying at UNC? Are you in any programs at UT that you’ll likely stick with for the next four years? That could help put some more perspective.

Overall, UNC is stronger in liberal arts. However, Econ is a strength at Texas.

Both towns are cool as hell. Austin is way bigger and also isn’t next to Durham.

Both ways are a win, but by going to UNC you are probably going to end up in the east in the future. If you want to work in Texas, UT is going to be your choice.
