UTD vs. UTArlington vs. UNT vs. A&M - Undergraduate for Pre-Med

I’m a Texas high school senior having trouble deciding what school is the best to attend for Pre-Med. I’m aiming to get a BS in Biology then go to medical school, hopefully UT Southwestern or Baylor College of Medicine. I’ve looked into all of the schools, but I need advice as to which is the best. I’m interested in an area that is somewhat lively but not too crazy. I’m semi-social, but I would love to get to know a lot more people once I go to college. I plan to live on campus my first year and would like to go to a college that has the best opportunity and experience that will benefit me the most for the MACT.
Thank you!!

What are your stats?

Three of your schools are in the metroplex area. Are you going to be living at home or do you want a traditional form type of experience?

I’ll be living on campus. Yes, I would like a traditional form type of experience or a semi-experience at least. The Dallas/Arlington areas and College Station are both about 2 hours from my home.

UT Arlington and UT D are going to have more of a commuter feel. Both schools are trying to change that and are making progress— but you need to visit yourself to decide if it’s enough of a change for you.

UNT has a bit more of a campus feel, a little more liberal funky lean to it and probably a more active on-campus vibe.

Texas A&M is going to be the most traditional “going away to college” dorm/campus feel. Class rank and scores are going to be more important for admissions. Hopefully you’ve already applied?

All of them will probably prepare you for the MCAT.
