UTK/U.Alabama/UGA/UNC/Vanderbilt Chances

I'm a white non-Hispanic male from rural West Tennessee. I'm the first in my class of 230+ students with a current ACT score of 30 (super score of 31). I'm very active in my school and community. I'm the president of 3 clubs, I sit on my county's Relay for Life executive committee, I am a HOBY ambassador, a graduate of a local leadership program, and a volunteer in Tennessee's highest volume emergency department. I have ALWAYS been interested in Vanderbilt, but I've heard awful things about applying for one of their two early decision cycles (they do not do rollover admission cycles). I plan on studying molecular biology of biochemistry and go pre-med with either.

Additional info: My father is a veteran, so that might make me eligible for certain scholarships and programs.

I assume your GPA, as valedictorian, is 4.0… Do ROTC admissions give an edge to veterans’ families?

UTN: Safety (UTN is a safety at 3.5/25)
U Alabama: Safety
UGA: Low match
UNC: Reach (you may as well be applying to Vandy)
Vanderbilt: Reach

I’ve shown demonstrated interest in both Vandy and UNC. I recently took the both the SAT’s and ACT but have yet to receive either of my scores, so maybe those could help? Thanks!
