UVA Accepted Students Days?

Hello,

Does anyone know if/when there will be accepted students days (Days on the Lawn?) at UVA? Haven’t seen any info on that yet. Was accepted EA OOS.

IF?

You’ll be getting information soon and I’ll post info on the blog, too.

@“Dean J” - I’m sure you all are trying to get these days posted as soon as possible. For us out of state folks, the sooner the better. That’s a holiday week and airline tickets are getting more expensive every day… Thank you!

In previous years there have been a few different dates you could choose for Days on the Lawn so you shouldn’t be locked into a set expensive travel date unless your schedule dictates it.

I’d look up last year’s dates, and pencil those weeks into your schedule. Make sure your parents save some flexibility in their work schedule. during those times. Keep in mind that some of the dates fill up, so you may not get your first choice (esp. Saturdays).

I’m not sure this is anything anyone will know, but does uva offer financial assistance for DOTL? I love the school but I think I’d need to visit to be sure, and I have no means of affording a trip out… I’m assuming they don’t as FA for the school is limited but I can hope!

I would email admissions and ask. I know some other universities fund visits for accepted students who are underrepresented minorities…

There is a system where accepted students can stay with a current UVa student for a night, which would save you the cost of a hotel.

@“Dean J” Thanks for the response. Can’t wait!

what is a typical Day on the Lawn like? Do parents come and do students have time to themselves?

DOTL registration is open… you can go to your admitted students MyUVA to sign up. They should have received an email with direct links.
