so last year the brownie cc-ers would frequently be in the computer lab and one day we all happened to be on cc down there at the same time, and it was a lot of fun for whatever reason. then when i learned malex was on cc (we knew eachother in real life first) we would do the same thing at caine meetings.

anyways i thought it would be fun for those of you who aren't acquainted in real life to join us sometime and we could have a cc party. its kind of lame but at the same time really funny. half of us are brownies anyways.

for the incoming 1st yrs, it might be a good way to get to know some new friends... for the rest of us, we can just be amused or whatnot. go on youtube. flame chances threads. talk about math classes since that seems to be a common topic now. whatever.

we could all bring our laptops and have a picnic in the ampitheater or on the lawn or something chill like that. or we could take over the brown computer lab one night and throw a party there.

considering if we're all spending our time on this board anyways then it might be a more fun use of our time to all be on it together. if it's fun we could do it again. or the brownies plus the other people who know me can continue to have all the fun.

sadly, i think that the more people i know in real life on this board, the more time i end up spending on it.

A College Confidential party may work in theory, but some people can be in attendence. Tenniscraze would get bloodied up and Cavalier302 may not survive the night. I guess it's better to get to know the person outside of the forum, but it can be a little awkward without the mystique of the Internet to protect us.

I agree. It's tempting, but at the same time, I like to call people out. And have them call me out. I actually am neighbors now with one person on here. But like Malex said, tenniscraze may not make it down the ampitheater's steps. And ehiunno might have a girl and a beer thrown at him. I might have a "calm the f*** down, it's a college!" thrown my way. Who knows.

I say, bring this up while we're all at school. Schedule a time for us all to be in Clemons at the same time, but not have a specific place.
Oh, and we need to start a roster with everyone's basic info (school, year, greek/nongreek, brown/not, etc). This junk of guessing "did he go through this class?" or "what year is he?" sucks.

Female CLAS/Curry (Math/Elem Ed) 2nd yr non-greek Brownie! Philadelphia

haha it would be interesting if there were arguments. though, i somehow think that ppl are more civilized in real life than on this message board

OMG this thread made me lol 100000 times over.

Thing is, I totally suggested this in another thread. I think its a great idea! I think we would be fine in everyday life, I can put up with people who I completely disagree with everything on like tennis, I would just be afraid of cav and tennis killing each other, but I mean, if they dont want to come they don't have to. I will probably be meeting hazel, malex, Jimmyjam whoever else lives in Brown anyways.

and I dont think my girlfriend (I HAVE A LIFE DAMNIT!!!! We've been together for almost 2 years!!! she is very pretty, and SHE likes science too. lol) would appreciate you throwing a girl at me, but beer would be ok. still probably wouldn't drink it, but it would be a fun game of dodge ball.

We should all facebook up at least. I really wouldn't mind outright posting mine on the fora, everyone on here who wants it knows my real name anyways.

one day, Hazelorb, tenniscraze and I were in Brown college computer lab.I engaged in a heated debate with tenniscraze on the issue of living wage. Hazelorb, you are the judge. Who won the debate?

ps facebook group has been created, it is the one in the uva network, i sent invites to people on my friends list (untilted we're not facebook friends what?!?)

did you make it global so dsports (the chances galore guy! 3.3, URM, eagle scout etc...i read it so many times, i know it all! then we totally sidetracked and hijacked the thread and it was hilarious) can join and ask us his chances?

But seriously, to all the people that dont stalk this forum all day at work like me and shoebox, I do think this would be a great way to get to know a lot of people you may or may not ever run into in your circle of friends at UVa. There are something like 12k kids, theres no way your going to meet all of us randomly, and if you did, you probably wouldn't even know it.

I think the Brown comp lab or lawn or whatever is really a great idea. Come, expose yourself, step out from behind the anonymous mask of the internet and it could be a lot of fun. If its awkward and lame, so what? you can leave, lol.

HAHAHAHAHA tenniscraze, you've just redeemed yourself for all stupid posts you've made prior to now

hence why i made the roster, kiddies

ehiunno: hahahah i <3 internships! yay! I hope UVA promotes this site more...it's such a valuable resource, and we're a very creative/electic bunch. And, Idunno about the meet up, I'm a slightly normal kid and internet forums (well, CC is my only forum hahaha) are my secret pleasures. By the way, doing it in Brown is dumb. We need a more...neutral location. That way everyone gets exercise.

wait a sec, tennis, did you assume I was a lesbian girl? because I dont know how you could read
my girlfriend (...We've been together for almost 2 years!!! she is very pretty...)
and get anything other than male or lesbian girl...

not to mention the thread where I thought jimmy was male and figured her removing herself from brown waitlist would get me in. If I were female, how would getting a man to move out of brown help me out? lol

oh, so that other girl that joined is tennis? Thats cool.

Huh, my post did not "redeem" anything. I think you're sadly very mistaken. I was just saying I had THOUGHT ehiunno was a girl. You can't expect to 100% tell someone's gender judging by his or her username.

Some people like you are just foolish. Clearly, my statement after your post was indicating that I had thought you were a girl before this thread came up. And I don't monitor every thread to stalk you either. Don't be silly.

I wasn't making fun of you tennis, geez, you just lost all you gained. It wasn't "oh she's so stupid" haha it was just a funny statement that you thought he was a girl, like all of the sudden the little lightbulb went off in your head...it was a funny mental image, so shush, and laugh :)
