from nj and i got rejected… uva is my dream school and i feel like I could have had a very good chance of getting in if i lived in virginia… i know that is a silly thing to say everyone who got in deserves it but sigh… just sad

Congrats to everyone selected. Son was denied. OOS, Caucasian male, 2320 SAT, 34 ACT, 3.6 UW, 3.86 W, Eagle Scout, 5 Varsity sports, NHS, Academic Team, 9 APs, military brat. Weakness in GPA, AP and SAT II scores for Physics, Calc.

@jhcc2015 The real kick-in-the-pants for my son is that he’s considered OOS for every state since we’re military serving overseas. I was hoping the experience of living in Japan and England might be a hook that would help him over come the 3.6 and OOS, but so it’s not working out too well. Good luck to you!
