Uva Decisions!!!!

Thanks for considering me exceptional 2Tired. :)

Honestly, I'd feel a lot better about my chances if I were applying to A&S with the 35-40% acceptance rate. However, since I'm applying to McIntire, I have no idea and am nervous since I really want to go to UVA.

Man, my mom IM'd me (yes, my mom uses IM and has my SN :)) and told me to call her becaue she had good news. And I got really excited. But it was NYU instead. I'm still happy, but not as happy as I would've been for UVA.

I will wait for one more week, if nothing comes, then I will send out the deposit. I dont think it's binding...but the thing is I dont have to apply for housing since i will be commuting...so that may be a different story..

yap, I am applying to mcIntire too.

yep i am applying to McIntire three

As I remember from past years people applying to architecture and McIntire didn't hear anything in the first waves. I think this was because they have so few spots that they want to be able to review all the applicants together...sooo those of you who didn't hear in the first wave shouldn't be discouraged if you applied to the a-school or the comm school

hey, neboola and other people applying to McIntire...
Will going to McIntire become an advantage for students who want to go to top MBA program? for example if I am planning to go to Darden after going to McIntire...

just day-dreaming~~ ;)

I don't have an excuse because I applied to A&S. :(

Hey Katt ...think about how many people applying to UVa..I dont think they are able to make the decision at once...

Katt, please do not be depressed...

Anticipating mail delivery shortly...

Wow... thanks a lot wahoo... that makes me feel a lot better. I was actually planning on asking you about when McIntire students heard.

Nope. Nothing from UVa. I guess I'm stuck here at GMU... :(

Now chris, don't be depressed.

Maybe instead of 2 waves this year, there are several, eh? We can only hope.

Hahaha...oh the irony...

For those of you applying to McIntire thought you might like to see some stats....

Don't give up guys. It's not like you got rejection letters either. There is still another wave of letters... some will be acceptances... and two of them might belong to people who post on CC with the monikers Katt and Christophsky.

Office of Admission told me that the dean sent out "a few" decisions early, but that most will be mailed at the beginning of this week, so expect them between "this Friday and next Friday."

And don't forget the person whose moniker is Toph.

Thanks majidso. Those are helpful. Not sure how reassuring they are... but they are helpful. :)

well i submitted my app in friggin December...so I'm guessing they're probably sending out letters in pretty much the order of when they got the apps. so don't get discouraged....the worst that can happen is rejection...and then there's also waitlist....if ppl get waitlisted don't give up either...try and find some1 to write you a good recomendation, do 12 hours of community service one weekend, send them the report, and show an effort...and there's NO NEED to freak out right now...it's just mid april, and you all will have decisions shortly....and i have a feeling lots of you will have acceptances....look at first year....from friggin TUFT'S has a high highschool GPA his SATs were over a hundred points higher than mine....if he doesn't get in then me getting in is one hell of a mistake....point is...theyr'e sending them out in certain blocks and we're not quite sure in what order, and i'm sure lot's of you all that are lookin down right now will probably get in
