I’ve been looking at all the threads since 2012 and all decisions have come out on the last Friday of April (except one year where May 1st was a friday)
I wouldn’t look too far into the financial aid. I was waitlisted last year and saw the same information you guys are seeing, and this year it shows both 2017 and 2018. The class search is also always there and accessible. In the fall (i.e. not during the transfer admissions cycle), I viewed my SIS account to look at available classes to check to see if there were any differences from what is posted on the course catalog (there were, to my delight).
Furthermore, in regards to the green check mark, last year there were more icons in the place where the green circle and “Complete” are located. It was essentially a key, which had a green circle, green check mark, and yellow exclamation point. None of these are present this year (aside from the green circle), meaning that it appears that the University has removed them due to the incredible speculation that surrounds them, as well as the potential leak of decision information (though it was never confirmed with a large enough sample size that there was any relevancy).
lmao all of you guys who are scavenging through your SIS and speculating remind me of those illuminati videos on youtube

I was just refreshing my SIS page at 1 AM (as one does), and all of a sudden a new item appeared on my to-do list. It was the FA Application Certification Form. When I clicked on “view details” it said the document was due May 26th. I find this very odd because I know for a fact I submitted this document back in March. I’m probably going to give the financial aid office a call tomorrow, and see what the deal is. Anybody else encounter this?
Quick question. I withdrew from a course earlier this semester and I just found out the transcript I submitted to uva may have not been updated with the W. I plan on contacting the admissions office tomorrow. Do you think this is grounds for my acceptance to be rescinded if accepted? The class was an elective not related to my major and I’m still enrolled in 14 credits this semester (66 total)
@newyorkgs did you complete all of the forms and submit it by April 1st?
I submitted my financial aid information to the best of my ability well before the deadline and I do not have anything in my “To do” section. Is that reassuring that everything was done correctly? Reading through this thread has worried me that possibly I did something wrong, since I do not have anything within the “View Financial Aid” link regarding this year. I have confirmation that my fafsa and my css was successfully processed.
yeah, I had everything in by late March
@newyorkgs did you email it?
On what terms can you conduct an interview to help with the application process? Is it only for certain colleges within the university? Can rising second-years request interviews?
@va1997 I believe only students that get requested for an interview are considered. This is the case for rising third-years applying to McIntire. As a second year, I don’t think you are eligible for an interview (also decisions are coming out in two days, so it wouldn’t matter).
@viewsfromthe6 Well that’s unfortunate. I’m a rising junior applying to McIntire and haven’t been contacted for an interview…probably bad news
@jinzo000 I wouldn’t lose hope yet! It could be that borderline applicants get interviews or something like that. I really am just making an educated guess.
Thanks @viewsfromthe6 haha I’ll try to stay positive
So…is it fair to expect Friday at or around 5pm?
Will we receive decisions tomorrow?
I called the admission office. They said that we will expect to receive decisions on next Monday. But I hope it will be tomorrow!
That’s reasonable as next Monday is 5/1. Thank you for your info! Best wishes! @swagsugar
I called as well. The lady who talked to me just said “uuuummmmmmm” and started tripping over her words and then said she hadn’t heard anything but if they do come out tomorrow we will get an email. I’m feeling tomorrow.
@va1997 Haha sounds like tomorrow then! They’ve released decisions on the last Friday of the month for the last several years, right?
