UVA or Univ. of Rochester???

I have been accepted by both schools and have visited the schools.
I am a science person and most likely gonna major in pre-med or biology.
When I was in UVA during the visit, it seemed to me that the majority of
the students were much involved in politics, history and some other
social science majors. While I was in UOR, the school provided the
opportunity for me to understand they have really organized pre-med/science programs and renown teaching resources. People keep on telling me that UVA is a better school than UOR, but I have a gut instinct that UOR is a better fit for my intended field of study.

Will people please advise on which school I should choose?

Is money an issue?

money is not an issue. Both schools have provided me a tremendous amount of financial aid and scholarships.

Go where you feel most comfortable. You'll do better in the school you like better. UR is phenomenal in the sciences.

Do be aware, however, that it does get cold in Rochester. That's one major difference between it and UVA. (Also, UR is a lot smaller.)

Do you LIKE the schools equally? I think they're in the same ballpark academically when it comes to the sciences.

It may be true that a higher percentage of UoR kids are majoring in the sciences. But UVA's a big enough school that you will get to meet plenty of other science-y kids. (UVA's biggest feeder is a killer science & technology high school.) It may just be bad luck that you didn't meet them on your visit.
