I'm not going to list all of my activities, but my grades and scores seem to match the typical profile of UVA. I play 3 sports, I am captain of the speech team, and I am president of my class and several other clubs etc. I'm a junior from WV, and I was wondering if anyone knows how likely I am to get into a public school like UVA out-of-state (I know several people from my school with comparable resumes whom were accepted this year if that helps).

If you’re top 10% and have above a 2100 on the SAT, you seem like you have a good chance. Don’t expect it, but don’t be surprised if you get in. I would consider similar level schools (top 25).

Also – most selective schools never compare students from the same school to one another, each one is reviewed holistically and independently – so saying similar kids got in means not very much.

vauge post is vauge…

Post it all if you want us to give you legitament chances.
