So…only two people got in?

I’ve been reluctant to post my stats, because I think there’s so much more that goes into a decision than just numbers (and you can make yourself crazy by comparing yourself to other people-- been there, done that), but here they are:

Accepted as a third year
GPA: 3.95
SAT: 1960
I didn’t have any recommendations, but I think my essays and internship experience were strong.

I’m sorry to those of you who did not get in, and though it may not be what you want to hear right now, just know that everything happens for a reason. Wherever you go, with the right attitude, you will achieve great things. You all have excellent stats.

At the risk of sounding like a lame pretentious Hallmark card-- You can follow your dreams anywhere, because it’s not the place you go but what you do there that counts. If UVA was your top choice and you can’t reapply in the fall, maybe try to do graduate school there. I know what it feels like to be rejected from your favorite school, and it sucks, but it all works out in the end if you keep at it. I believe in you guys, and thank you for this thread. It has been a comfort throughout the application process. Best of luck!

Hey I have a question in regards to the roll over process.

Once submitted, how do we go about adding and changing parts of our application i.e. essays?

It looks like I misspoke about the roll-over process. Sorry for the misinformation. Here’s an admissions post about it from 2012 - not sure if policies have changed since then:

<a href=“Transferring to UVA: Rolling over the spring application for fall”>http://uvatransferadmission.blogspot.com/2012/02/rolling-over-spring-application-for.html

"This is quick reminder for those who were not offered admission for January and would like to try again for Fall 2012. Please email undergradadmission@virginia.edu to let us know. This is not automatic. Please do this by March 1.

-You won’t have to pay another application fee
-Please send us a list of your spring 2012 courses and course descriptions
-If you would like to add any new updates or short statements, feel free to include this in the same email
-Most importantly, you should mail us your most recent transcript with your Fall 2011 grades. Again, our mailing address is on the right panel of the front page of this blog."

Hey everyone,
I transferred to UVA last year and I applied for on grounds housing. However, since our admission is offered way later than current UVA students housing assignments transfer students usually get put in on grounds housing far away from the lawn. I was able to trade with someone and got a spot in BICE house which is a one minute walk to the lawn and most classes and a 4 minute walk to the corner. I have a spot available for the 2015-2016 year so please message me if you are interested in living at BICE. You can find out more info about BICE if you google “BICE uva”.
