I'm from Charlottesville

oooo goody then hopefully i'll have a letter in the mail monday :)...if not then BLAH

Congrats!....what exactly do you want to persue?

Either that or the fact that she's in Charlottesville. Maybe people in Northern Virginia, if accepted, will hear on Monday.

I'm guessing your online status doesn't show anything new right?

Also to let everyone know, last year I was waitlisted. I did not check which number I was on the list, I too was severely depressed not getting in. My resume is completely different from last year to current, being more involved community wise and organizationally.

I didn't go back to the UVA website to see if it changed, saying I was accepted, but I can really quickly.

no change on the website

Yeah figured. Mail is an issue for me being all the way out in Ohio...and my parents back in VA are in new york until wed.

When you log onto ISIS, what kind of information can you see?

lol here we go again!!!

I won't let it go!!

I think that I did not have a working student accounts link last time I logged onto ISIS. Hmmm....

Jenn. Congrats!

But now, I am puzzled, you would actually go to WM instead after getting into UVA? Hey give me your spot, I am a VACC as well with a 3.9 and a full time job (not taco bell). Anybody else here that would rather go to WM? I can trade my WM spot for UVA spot in a heart beat!

"I am puzzled, you would actually go to WM instead after getting into UVA?"

Why are you soo puzzled? Hundreds of students make this same decision every year. A big school like UVA is not for everybone and W&M's small size makes it a very attractive choice for top students. I dont' know if you realize this, but the caliber of the student bodies at WM are the same as UVA's. I have personal reasons for wanting to transfer but W&M is an amazing school with an excellent reputation. I hope you can get into UVA so you don't have to come to W&M, W&M doesn't need any haters.

my status is also changed...

mikebobe...it changed to what?

This certainly doesn't bode well for me since I'm from C'Ville and haven't received anything. :(

Katt...on your app...did you set your mailing addy to your UMD add or your C-ville add?

i agree with wmrocks...my highschool's valedictorian and salutatorian both went to W&M. It offers class sizes that you can't get at a majority of other schools, and the opportunities that come along after graduation are the same as they are from UVa...infact...I know a couple of ppl that got in to UVa and NOT W&M...the only reason i chose not to go there is cuz i've been visiting williamsburg once a year every year since i was a little kid...and yeah...it's just not my setting....furthermore....w&m is only a few spots behind UVa in USNews rankings...and everyone knows those ratings don't determine everything. it just depends on the type of person you are. If you like bigger schools and bigger cities, and don't mind a sacrifice in instructor-student relationships for the same education you choose UVa....if you want a smaller student body with more close knit relationships then you're definately for W&M.

C'Ville, sigh
