the more i think about the more i think it's bull....that's really really a sick joke....if anyone is sick enough to make that joke they're probably angry that they couldn't get in to college and want other ppl to get their hopes up....

whatever...
no matter jenn is true or not, we'll get our decisions in 2 weeks
this must be true

Jenn, do you care to comment on these allegations?

yes that's the truth.....but it's still NOT COOL to play with minds that are obviously impatient

just to confirm what others have said, I last year I received my letter in a standard business size envelope, the text was very similar to what Jenn described and it was signed "John Blackburn, Dean of Admissions"

Indeed very interesting!

lol, you guys are killing me!

i do believe Greg Roberts would have better things to do on a Sunday afternoon than linger in a forum and occasionally remark on how interesting our convos are

Care to say anything else?

Very interesting!

You got me! I'll put in a good word for you!

I think we should report "Dean Roberts" to the mods so they trace his IP Address; posting under a false alias, especially this one in this context, is a horrible crime.

LOL...ok "dean"

sounds like a good idea....it get's rather irritating when somebody keeps trying to push your buttons

Indeed very interesting!............
let's report that as offensive post

well if you try to pose as the coordinator of transfer admissions for UVa....conveniently in a UVa transfer thread....i think it's called for

Sorry neboola for not following correctly... I've kind of been out of it the past couple days. I've been ridiculously busy since Thursday and won't be able to think straight again until at least Tuesday night (after my calc exam). Thankfully after Tuesday, I'll be fine for the week and a half before finals week.

And hopefully I'll start off finals week with a nice Monday (May 1) which would involve an acceptance letter from a certain university that I really want to attend.

And honestly, I'm not as annoyed by the whole Dean Roberts thing (it's dumb and it's childish, but it obviously isn't him), so much as I am annoyed by Jenn apparently faking her acceptance. And I wouldn't be suprised if the person who suggested that the same person signed up as Jenn and Dean Roberts is correct. Of course, reporting Dean Roberts would be interesting because maybe we could find out if they are the same person.

This thread is hosted by College Confidential. I always thought that meant we can talk about college-related matters without fear of being surrepticiously monitored...and even that would be OK because we wouldn't know (ignorance is bliss...sound familiar?). But to come out and put on a facade such as this is inexcuseable.

I didn't mean to convey that it did. Of course the posts in this forum aren't confidential...they are, after all, open to the public. I guess there is some risk in making a post regardless of the forum's intended purposes.
