UVa Transfer Application Question

The McIntire School of Commerce requires 60 credit hours to be admitted to, and UVa requires 27 credit hours to be qualified as a transfer.

I'm a freshman right now and I've completed 16 credit hours. After this semester, I will have completed 32 credit hours. However, the transfer application is due half-way through this semester. Does this mean that I'm considered a first year student applicant and thus it's too late for me to apply since that deadline already passed?

If I am considered a transfer, can I apply as undeclared? Basically, how would I go about applying to the university? I eventually want to end up as a finance major in the McIntire School of Commerce.

If it matters, I'm a Virginia resident.

you can't apply directly to McIntire until you're a junior. Instead, apply to CAS as a sophmore transfer, then you'll transfer into McIntire you're junior year.

Can I still apply as a transfer student though since I've only completed 16 credit hours? I will have completed 32 by the end of the semester. They require 27 though and the application is due half-way through the semester.

I just looked through it and it looks like I can.

They want 27 hours by the time of enrollment, not counting duel-enrollment, APs, IBs, ect. So yes, you can still apply. Otherwise, only juniors would be able to apply =P You'll transfer into McIntire after 60 credits, which will be around your Junior year as long as all of your credits transfer.
