I’d like to start off by saying that I really love UVA, and it has always been my goal and dream to attend this school.
I am planning to study Computer Engineering, and I am very glad to have been accepted to two very wonderful institutions, UVA and VT. The difference is that VT has offered me a full-ride to their Engineering program, while UVA offered me a regular $12,000/year cost. I did insane amounts of research, and I am stumped on which college to pick, I would appreciate any kind of input good and bad.
Thank you
As you can see by my name I was deciding between the two schools. I ended up getting waitlisted from UVA which made my decision easier, but both are great programs. If money is important to you go to VT, if it isn’t go to UVA since it was your dream school. You can’t go wrong with either program!
@HokieWahoo2002 Haha, I really like your name, I agree with you that both Engineering problems are equally recognized. How is VT? Do you like it there? I am really looking for a college experience in which I can develop a close relationship with professors, do you think this would be possible there?
Thank you so much for your insight, I really appreciate it
@TouristHistory I’m actually c/o 2020 so I’m not there yet. I’m super excited though and I’m gonna be majoring in biomedical engineering. I have only heard good things about VT engineering, except I have heard it is difficult and can deflate your GPA. However, I know this is the same at UVA. I have also heard that VT puts the most money in their engineering program, so you should be confident that they will give you all they can.
