UVA or VT Engineering?

<p>I want to go into biomedical engineering. </p>

<p>I just got the letter from UVA Engineering yesterday inviting me into the Rodman Scholars program.
Two days ago I got an email from VT inviting me to the "interview day" for their Honors program. </p>

<p>VT doesn't have biomedical engineering, but I think that their Engineering Science and Mechanics program is comparable to it.</p>

<p>My sister goes to UVA and loves it. VT is about 15 minutes away from where I live...I'm pretty familiar with the Hokie atmosphere. </p>

<p>Which school has a better program? What do you suggest?</p>

<p>VT has the better program but overall of course UVA wins. One of my mom's friend's son was faced with the same choice and went with UVA. He never regretted his decision and I don't think you will either.</p>

<p>Virginia Tech does not even have the major that you want in this case so I don't see how you can turn down UVA for it. You can visit both campuses but they have about the same feel (preppy/frats). I'd go to UVA.</p>

<p>PS: Are you from Northern VA?</p>
