UVM EA Class of 2023

Feeling a bit down, DD was “deferred”, with a 3.55 and 1300. Especially seeing so many who were accepted with similar numbers. Congrats to you all, keeping our fingers crossed but looks like we are waiting a few more months.

Accepted. 20k/year. 1360 SAT, 29 ACT, 4.009 W, Out of State, Neuroscience major

Son admitted (business) w/ 17K; gap 3.8, 1290 SAT. Good luck to everybody.

Accepted. 20k/yr merit. 34 ACT; 3.9 unweighted. OOS. Arts and Sciences undeclared.

I’m a little confused because my GPA is a 3.8 I have a 1460 SAT with straight IB classes and I got deferred…

S accepted to Grossman with Trustee Scholarship (14K per year). 3.35 uw at a super rigorous HS well known to UVM, 31 ACT, kick ass essays, light on ECs but heavy on work.

Accepted 20,000/year Presidential Scholarship. 3.75 unweighted GPA, 1440 super scored SAT. Out of state.

My friend also got in with a 15k/yr merit. 1100 SAT, 95.35 gpa weighted. Great extra currics with leadership roles. Psych major

@iiMimic I literally have the same stats and am IB student and I was deferred too. Big shock

For all those with High stats that were deferred: what I’ve realized is that they admit students with just around their averages (not above) because they only admit people that they feel are actually likely to attend. its like they’re avoiding being someone’s safety school. If UVM is a top choice of yours and you were deferred with high stats you should express that your interest is very serious.

Proud mother of admitted daughter. 20k per year Presidential Scholarship. 30 ACTs; 4.2 weighted GPA; lots of interesting ECs.

Congrats to all! Accepted with Trustee Scholarship. 3.25 unweighted GPA at a very difficult school, 1420 SAT (770 reading/writing, 650 math), very strong essay and recommendations, and a lot of ECs primarily focused on outdoor leadership and medicine.

Accepted with 4.3 GPA, 32 ACT. 20K.

Daughter accepted in nursing program. $18,000 presidential scholarship. 96 gpa, 1280 SAT, strong essay/reccomendation. Pre-health high school program, Girl Scout gold award, rescue squad member, 3 sport varsity athlete.

Accepted 3.9 GPA!!! Strong essays and recommendations

Accepted with 17k presidential scholarship! 1310 SAT and 4.1 GPA

Accepted into Animal Science program
OOS, 3.3 GPA, 1210 SAT, lots of ECS with animals and I have a job. congrats everyone!

@ayecollegekid1 how would I do that

@jbseattle My H is a Metallica dude! Did your S or D get in to UVM?

@ilovebillyjoel
She was amongst those deferred. She has been admitted to everywhere else she applied but has had little love in terms of merit aid which we need.
