My guess, close to 150 - 200. Aos said that about 400 people submitted appeals to cs and we know that a lot of people were rejected in the beginning and some later on. We also know that most or all the spots they had on hand before May 1st were already given out. If we assume that 100 - 150 people were rejected and 40 people were accepted, the number of people with the email is 200ish. We also know that lot of people here and some on Reddit got the email and not everyone would be posting about it.
Most of them applied mid March and one friend applied on April 14th and he got rejection on April 26th.
Hard to predict the criteria of acceptance .At the end of the day it’s just the luck that matters .keeping fingers
So with the assumption of 200 people having the email, and 40 people already accepted, there may be only 10-20 spots available. We will have to wait and see.
I just got accepted from the appeal. Email came in about 4 hours ago.
They’re giving me until May 19th to respond (generous), which is 2 weeks from the appeal response date. I will respond to PM if ppl have questions about the appeal, etc.
Congratulations! Let us know your decision.
Congrats and best wishes
That is great! Congratulations!
@ucla_cs_god, was this for CS or general admission? Also, how did you hear? Email?
Congratulations!! Curious has anybody else received this?
Somebody I know who appealed for CS got rejected two days ago.
Yes. CS Appeal granted. Email received last night.
Congratulations @beachfamily. Anyone else received a decision?
Congrats and best wishes
Congrats @beachfamily. Are you OOS?
It would be good to understand if appeals decisions thus far are for OOS or Instate. I would guess that due to funding shortages, UW would likely prioritize OOS students over in-state.
Instate.
Not yet.waiting still
When did you send in the appeal?
Appeal was for CS. I heard via my UW student email account. Also, I am instate.
