Hey guys, did you guys set up your UW emails yet? I'm still getting all the emails in my personal email address because I don't know how to start using the UW email... do we have to download something? And it seems that we need the UW connection port or whatever, but we're not in the campus yet so... don't really get it. They keep saying check your uw email blahblah, so don't know what to do... anyone know? :)

I was under the impression the two are linked and emails can be forwarded to your gmail or whatever. I get all my UW emails on mine…I would hate to have to check a separate account

I set up my email using Google Apps (aka gmail, basically). I have 2 UW emails, one that (at) uw (dot) edu [also known as u (dot) washington (dot) edu] and one for the cs department.

Here are some links to get you started:

If you set up your email using Google Apps, you can go to gmail (dot) uw (dot) edu to check it! Just sign in with your UW Net ID.

To forward to your personal email (that’s what I do!), go to Settings and under Forwarding, just enter in the email that you want to forward to (Don’t worry about the POP/IMAP stuff).
