Hi, I am an undergraduate freshman that will soon be starting the University of Washington this fall. I was wondering what was the honors program like, and will high school college credits really affect my chances?

I know that the applicants must have a 3.3 UW cumulative UW GPA. Right now I have a 2.3 cumulative GPA because of the UW Precalculus class that I took in my high school, which dropped my grade really low. I got a 0.7 for that class (during my sophomore year) while I got a 3.9 for my UW Japanese Class. I might bring it up later in the future... I hope at the end of the year. I wish I could just drop that UW Precalc credit and grade because I barely got anything from it and want to relearn it again, since it was the school's first year teaching the class and everyone, literally I mean EVERYONE bombed the final. That's why our teacher curved the test hardcore for our school grade, but the UW kept the actual grades... Our class was like "the stuff you need to know for this chapter in 15 minutes, then the remaining time is to work all day on those problems." Is this how UW math classes teach like in the school as well...?

But anyway, is the honors program something for me? I am willing to be a hard-working student who is trying to get into Pharmacy school, but I might not be those "excellent, talented" students who are about to advance into great depth of knowledge. What is the honors program like from someone else's experience? For me it just seems like "honors" classes in high school where the work load is even more? I want to learn more, but don't want to kill my brain to where I don't actually learn anything since I overloaded it too much with information.

Just curious whether if it may help me or not. Thank you.
