UW Honors vs. UC Berkeley

<p>I am not too sure of where to go at the moment. I live in Washington, so the cost difference between UW and UC Berkeley is around 30-40K. I'm planning to go into medical school as well.</p>

<p>I really feel like I want to just stay in state and go to UW with Honors, but my mom keeps saying "don't worry about the money" etc. etc. So, I'm kind of unsure. I really don't want to put so much debt on my parents, but it appears like they're willing to do whatever. They're pushing me to go to UCB, and I feel the logical way to go would be for UW (in terms of cost/benefit). </p>

<p>Soo, I need help. Which school is better for pre-med students? Where would I get a better education?</p>

<p>Ask your mom if she can save the money and put it toward med school.</p>

<p>Also, the UCs have horrible premed advising and a lot of competition that makes it difficult to do well. I would go to UW even if cost wasn’t a consideration.</p>
