wonder if this is a glitch or a sign we’re hearing back today. I think there’s a good chance that we hear back today because it would be consistent with the last time frame of the EA decision release (Friday on the second to last week of the month).

Ok, I (too) am trying to read the tea leaves, but I think I’ll go to you, the experts and see if I understand all this. When my daughter logs into mywis, the SOAR tab appears on the home screen as “Preparing for SOAR and Your First Year,” and right there on that screen, in that tab, it says “Your access to this app is pending. You need to accept your offer of admission. Accept your offer of admission in the Student Center.” I take it this isn’t the case for everyone, and that either this tab doesn’t appear/can’t be searched for & added, or there’s another message for some people? As if this weren’t already a painful enough waiting game…ugh!

I was deferred from EA and unfortunately do not have access still to SOAR. However, if I remember correctly from the EA thread, everyone who had the “your access to this is pending. You need to accept your offer of admission…” message was admitted when decision letters came out. Good luck to everyone!

I believe that everyone has access to the SOAR tab, it just takes some searching. Mine says accept your offer of admission, but my portal still says deferred. Could be a glitch, but I think this is simply something in the system IF you get accepted
Have you tried adding a new tile to your homepage and looked up SOAR?
yes. I added the tab to my homepage and it still says “you do not have access to this app”. The SOAR tab could just be glitches or them testing things, but who knows… all speculation!

our SOAR says the same, do not have access…I seem to recall this being an indicator of admission during the first cycle. My son was deferred EA.
is there a time that UW usually updates the portals with decisions?
I received my full ride scholarship decision yesterday -accepted yay- and they told me the decisions would be out today.

Do they send an email letting the student know to check the portal?
My son’s says the same thing - does not have access. Is this an indicator of not being accepted?
I’m very confused. A few hours ago, my SOAR tile said I needed to accept my offer of admission and that the tile access was pending. It doesn’t say that anymore.
