So I need some input as to which college I should go to. Since I'm an Illinois resident, UIUC is the ideal choice regarding tuition but I wanted to get some opinions on the academics and environment for all three schools. I've been accepted as a psych major but I plan on switching into bio to be a PA. I visited UW madison and UIUC and I liked both campuses, leaning a little more towards UW. I haven't visited Loyola but I'm not too keen on living in the city. Also, how good is the job employment rate for each campus? To get into a PA program, I need a lot of clinical hours so I'm planning on being an emt or something after I graduate college. Any feedback would greatly be appreciated.

If UW was more of a draw to you, I’d say go for it. However, given it’s not plus the tuition issue, I’d say UIUC would be the obvious choice.

Employment after graduation is a tricky measure. It can depend on the local economic climate, how willing grads are to travel for a job, what proportion are non-traditional so may already have family ties which bind them to one place…

If you’re able to move location for that EMT job afterwards, if nothing should be available in the UC area in 5 years time you’ll massively improve your chances regardless of where you go to college.

Alrighty thank you (:
I think due to financial issues, I’ll probably end up going to UIUC.
Is the small city area an issue? Cause it is in the middle of nowhere…

If you’re in the position to move from or at least commute from the area when looking for full time employment, you’ll be fine. No one can predict where and when a job’s going to become available in 5 years time. Relax, enjoy your studies and look forward to a bright future :)
