i don’t know if this means anything but i was on my myplan (basically this thing for UW students to plan classes) and I ran a degree audit and I noticed that for major it says program entry quarter SUM15
Mine says, I already registered for 2015 spring semester…
???
I tried checking the course offering section under the quarter I applied for summer 2015 and I can see the available seats left… this shows how many people already received their letter or email to register for their first quarter… I think.
@uwedu15 nah man that’s just saying how many seats are left in the class
The waiting has become exhausting…
The 4 stages of waiting for an admission answer
Anxious, angry, depressed, anxious
It’s like the admissions office is ready our threads and having a fun time messing with us this year.
@heyinterstella Look below the SU2015. Mine says
According to our records, THIS IS NOT YOUR CURRENT MAJOR. To graduate with this major, you must be admitted to the department. If you have questions about your major, contact your adviser.
NOTE: The requirements listed on this report may change before you apply or are admitted to this program.
@SB5556 same here
So glad to be going to UWB for my MBA after this undergrad is done at UW Seattle. They seem to get back to folks really quickly, not to mention the cost is like $30k less.
So I got accepted into my backup school EWU through North Seattle campus for EE. So I’m not too worried, but still would love to get into UW Seattle or UW bothell though. If some how I won’t get in both UW, I won’t wait, I’ll go to ewu.
@rosuon UWB rarely turns anyone down, provided you have met all of the pre-reqs.
I hope you’re right. Also, for engineering application is open up on June 16th for uw seattle . My question is can I apply to 2 different engineering? I met pre-req for both electrical and mechanical engineering. Someone please help. I know they at uw bothell, you can only have 1 active application
I would assume you can, but you might want to ask the admissions advisers about that.
@rosuon Yeah, you can. On your original app, which did you list as your first & second choice majors?
Site says: “Once you have completed the prerequisite courses for one or more engineering programs, you can apply for admission to those programs. To apply, submit an Engineering Department Application form and unofficial transcripts to each of your chosen engineering departments.”
@decayedsyllables Yeah I met both requirements. The thing is on the general admission, I only put mechanical engineering. For second major, I left it blanks. Would that be a problem?
@rosuon You should still be able to apply to the other engineering major.
Go here: https://admit.washington.edu/Contact
Fill out that form and tell them that your intended major (listed on https://sdb.admin.uw.edu//admissions/UWNetID/appstatus.asp?APPINDX=1) needs to be updated. I would pick “Other” from the drop down.
@rosuon Yeah I think so too; it shouldn’t be a problem. In fact, I think since “second major” is only an option for those who apply to a competitive major, its meant to be a backup plan where you give a min requirement major, not your second choice competitive major. I know people who put both as engineering, but I guess I’m not quite as sure of myself. What CallMeADawg says is probably not necessary for just putting electrical, but honestly it can’t hurt.
Ahh… any summer applicants got decisions?
