UW transfer Autumn 2020

Hi, I’m a WA CC student who will be applying for UW Fall 2020 for the Design program (with 20 college credits, and 50 done before Fall 2020 to enter as a sophomore). I’d really like to know my chances of general admission.

High School GPA: 2.4
ACT (Junior Year): 21
Current College GPA: 3.43 (expecting around/over 3.5 by the end of quarter, all grades are not in yet)
Extracurriculars: A bioengineering highschool internship, and 2 jobs

Since it’s a holistic review and also there is a reason for my terrible high school grades I would like to summarize:

I attended a magnet high school with a focus on STEM related studies and I love the sciences. My Aunt died freshman year and my Grandmother died Junior year, both who I was really close to and grew up around. There is not a day that I don’t think about them. That along with attending a school harder than regular was much for me. It would’ve been easier to transfer to my home school perhaps but I really enjoyed STEM and the environment of my school even though it was very competitive at times. I don’t regret it though because I learned a lot despite what my grades might reflect and I also gained some of the best experiences.

I didn’t get many extracurriculars done because we’ve had financial hardships as a family.

my reason for transferring so early is because if I get into the design program, it takes 3 years to complete it, so financially it would be a better choice for me to transfer early instead of spending 5 years altogether.
