I was recently checking my Financial Aid Status on MyUW, and found that I was awarded the Undergrad Tuition Exemption. Anyone know what this is? Is it a grant, or is it more similar to a loan that I'll have to pay back?
This will be my second year at UW, and I have been receiving the Undergrad University Grant (if that matters at all), but this is the first year that I've been awarded the Tuition Exemption.

It is a tuition waiver. It is funded by the state of WA. It allows students to attend publicly funded higher education institutions by waiving the tuition and fees, and even pays for your books. Students with financial needs, minorities, ex military and refugees qualify for tuition exemption. No you don’t have to pay it back.
