Hello, I’m thinking about applying to University of Washington as a freshman for next year.
However, due to family reasons, I might have to apply for winter term of 2016.
Is there any difference if I apply for winter term compared to fall term?
Do I get considered for scholarships the same way if I apply for fall term?
Will it be more difficult to get accepted for winter term?
If possible, I’m aiming for direct admit into the Bioengineering major, but those only happen for fall and spring right?
I appreciate any help! Thanks.
Hey there! You have a lot of really good questions here that might be better directed to people or departments at the UW. That’s not to say that you can’t find useful information on CC, but sometimes it’s not entirely accurate, especially when dealing with more complex issues. I am a current student that also works in advising, you can always email Undergraduate Advising and Affairs (UAA), at advice@uw.edu, and we are happy to answer your questions. If we can’t, we will definitely work to put you in touch with someone that can! Our email is read and responded to Monday thru Friday from 9-5, even between quarters. Again, this is not meant to dissuade you from using CC, it’s a very useful forum in a lot of ways. Just want to make sure that you-- and others–are aware that advising is available even for prospective students.
