<p>Ohhh Itās happened again! 1 day and 6 new pages!</p>
<p>We have a border collie cross (to whoever mentioned that a few pages back!). </p>
<p>My school - yes, 8 is a lot, but of those I went though like 5 in 15 months at age 6, so after that it wasnāt too bad - is ok I think (though as I havenāt been there long I canāt quite judge accurately yet). Itās a State Comprehensive with a collection of regular not-so-interested-in-anything-beyond-my-bubble people, but also some more interesting and whatās great is itās State Boarding so we have lots of foreign students that make it about a million times more interesting! Like my best friend is Spanish! Results are ok, but quite average.</p>
<p>Iāve almost finished my app.! Just mini personal statement and finishing the Your Contributions question, and finally! I was so incredibly relieved they pushed back the application dateā¦</p>

At my school we also have a fair number of international kids and i agree that it does make it more interesting! The only problem is that the international kids at my school are all from very westernized countriesā¦</p>
<p>@tecz77 Yeah living abroad definitely totally changed who I am. I canāt even begin to imagine how I would be if Iād lived in the UK all my life! I spent half of my life overseas, so coming back this summer has been an interesting processā¦ But the things I learnt and all the bonuses of the whole cultural immersion and cross cultural understanding are sooo worth the difficult times!
At my school theyāre mainly (in my Year at least) Spanish, Nigerian (or some other African countries), German, Italian, and Chinese, with some other odd ones. Though most of those countries are quite developed, itās still totally intriguing talking to people about where they come from and like comparing languages and cultures and how education works andā¦ WEATHER. I do a lot of talking about weather with my Spanish friend: weāre both used to Mediterranean blue skies and beaches, not frost and rain in the North of Englandā¦ But hey :P</p>
<p>@pashay, It seems like you have an interesting range of countries represented. My school is right outside of DC, so most of our students are diplomats children who grew up well-off, so its not really that diverse. The joke where I live is that we live in a bubble, because weāre very sheltered and not aware of what life is like in other places. I was talking to a friend the other day who lived in Africa for a year and he told me that when he returned everyone asked if he rode zebras to schoolā¦ So we arent that culturally aware:)</p>
<p>@Hedwig8 I donāt really think thereās a problem if weāre not constantly talking about UWC, because as soon as someone has a question about it, we have around 3 people writing answers :P</p>
