I’m a white female from NOVA
I’ve applied to 4 VA schools but I’m really anxious to hear back from VA Tech and JMU (RD both).
I have applied as an accounting major for both.
I have a 3.59 GPA (weighted) and a 1910 super scored SAT.
I have had a job since sophomore year and participated in a couple clubs and other activities.
I answered 2/3 personal statements for tech (although I regret not doing the third) and did the only personal statement for jmu and I think all the one’s i answered were pretty good essays.
I’ve taken 8 AP/IB classes and haven’t gotten below a b except in one but it is explained in the application.
My top school is by far tech and my friends keep telling me I will get in but I’m not sure if it’s just to make me feel better or because they honestly think so. Anyway a completely objective opinion would be awesome.
EDIT: forgot to add that my dad went to tech but didn’t graduate. I put it on my app but I’m not sure if that will help or hurt me. I also included in my app the personal issues I went through sophomore year which caused my normal A/B’s to drop to C/D’s (but then go back to A/B’s junior and senior year).
