from what grades are the speakers of those speeches determined from? Semester of Senior year? 3rd 9 weeks? 4th 9 weeks?

<p>Depends on your school. For my school, it's everything up to and including first semester senior year.</p>
<p>yeah it does depend on the school. my school said <em>technically</em> it's alll eight semesters but if i were to get a B this last 9 wks like it looks that I am I dont lose that spot because they 've already printed the programs lol</p>
<p>depends on the school. my high school counts all grades, including the last semester of senior year. thats a true valedictorian. however... the valedictorian DOESNT GET A SPEECH! yeah... at my high school, you have to try-out to get to speak, and only 2 speakers make it. the two that make it tend to be great speakers with great speeches, and they might not necessarily come from honors backgrounds, but you'll be surprised how good speeches can be from a non-honors student.</p>
<p>truuue. i like that. my school's almost dumb tho and does it on unweighted gpa. if it was weighted i would get it even if i did get a B because i've taken the most ap/ib classes. but the way our shcool works you can be a non-honors/ap/ib kid taking all regular classes get straight A's and you can have a kid take all the AP / IB/Honros courses who gets one B, and the valedictorian honor goes to the former.</p>
