I suppose so… I never really thought about it, actually. Is middle school graduation like a big deal?

haha

thats funny basically every school whether it be k-12 or k-8
has middle school graduation near me

We had a promotion too when I was in 8th grade, I didn’t even go though… Lol

Well, it’s kind of a big deal where I come from, because about 20 students every year do not even graduate from high school.

Im going next year to PEA, i just spent one year at my high school to see what its like, now I am going to exeter :D

The Peddie school val is on scholarship to Duke. She was recruited because, in addition to being really smart, she’s a flipping amazing basketball player and that is what she wants to pursue.

Isn’t Peddie the best girls basketball program in the whole prep schools? They had Gatorade Player of the Year there too.

Yeah, our team this past year was AMAZING. Our coach is taking another job though, and some of our best players graduated, but I think we’ll pull through.

The Blair Val is an academic all star, who was also recruited by Duke but for crew. She has a great scholarship.

That’s really interesting… Rivals schools’ valedictorians going to the same college…

My local high school’s valedictorian is going to Princeton. And the local magnet schools’ valedictorian is going to Harvard with a scholarship…Then again, he got a 2400 on his SAT’s and was like supergenious.

Oh, yeah, I read about Haley Peters. I actually know someone who knows her, so that’s pretty cool.

A guy from my school who scored 2400 in SAT I is going to Harvard with full FA. He’s the first in our province that got a perfect score.

Jeez…you’re making me so skittish about the SAT. I really want to do well on it, but it’s just so intimidating. I have next to no idea about how it’s scored, and my writing is iffy.

Are the SSAT and the SAT correlated in any way? Because I did rather well on the SSAT, but wouldn’t know whether that’s a fluke or not.

After I took the SSAT, they sent us back the sheet that had the percentiles on it. If you take one of the high school tests (8-11) they have the range you are estimated to get on the SAT on the bottom. Since I got a 98%tile on the verbal, my estimated range for the SAT was I think 750-800.

Vals headed for Duke–seems like a waste when those ladies had many options.

Whats wrong with duke?

I guess Duke is not as prestigious as HYP…however, you must understand that those ladies were also athletes who wanted to pursue their respective sports.

And urbanflop, I saw my predicted scores as well. It says that I’ll do well, but I’m taking absolutely nothing for granted. Still fretting…

my school’s valedictorian is going to MIT

Ours is going to Amherst [but seniors elect the valedictorian, for various reasons].
