Are Vanderbilt University - Peabody College applicants evaluated differently from applicants applying to College of Arts and Sciences? If so, then how? I’m applying to HOD at Peabody as my first choice (applying ED I) and have an organization that funds poor schools in Pakistan but my GPA (3.45 UW, 3.9 Senior Year GPA sharp increase. I’m on a gap year) is on the lower side while my ACT is in the middle 50% (33 Composite). I was wondering how this would all factor into a Peabody application. Also, I speak 4 languages lol if that helps
No one here is on admissions, so all answers would be speculative. ED 1 is statistically the best chance for a competitive applicant (and so many are competitive applicants). Research there common data. I believe they post information breakdowns for each college.
@twicearound thanks for your reply! I actually do know the statistical breakdown, but it was a bit ambiguous to me as to what each college looked for in regards to applications. Some colleges had lower ACT scores and higher acceptance rates like Peabody and so was just wondering if Peabody had a different review of applications, considering aspects such as “fit” heavily (like some schools at Cornell - ILR in particular). I know no one here is an admissions counselor, but I was wondering if anyone may have had a more well-informed insight than I did
