Vanderbilt ED2 Class of 2019 Discussion Thread

I applied to the school of engineering for the CS major.

School of Engineering for Biomedical but i already want to change it to chem engineering+biological sciences double major

School of Engineering for Civil Engineering! I might also see if I can minor in energy and environmental systems as well!

did anyone else just get an email saying they come out tomorrow??

Whaaaaaat?

Tomorrow is the day! I got the email too

Good luck everyone!

Yup, D just called, she got the email saying decisions after 5 pm tomorrow. I don’t think either of us will sleep tonight!

got the email too!

wow i am not ready yet!

Good luck guys

Anyone know if this means anything, given that decisions are coming out a little early? I wonder if accepted students got the email, while those who have been rejected did not?

P.S. I’ve not read the email yet, but the parent of the kid I tutored/mentored and helped apply to Vandy asked me if the email meant anything. I’m unsure, so thus why I’m inquiring.

I am sure it is just a general email that everyone who applied ED2 at Vanderbilt receives.

I was so shocked when I found out!! It’s gonna be a long 21 hours and 38 minutes… But who’s counting?

This is crazy! I’m not prepared! Good luck to everyone, tomorrow is the day!!

On Friday, January 30, after 5:00 pm (Central Time), you may view your Early Decision II admissions decision via your MyAppVU portal or via this link: https://webapp.mis.vanderbilt.edu/adam/pub/decision. In addition, details of any need-based financial aid awards will be available via your MyAppVU portal.

Oh my god…

I wanted it to come early… but this is absolutely crazy. Still glad it’s coming this early, but I’m feeling like jelly. I hope this incredibly early admission decision date isn’t due to letting in only an unusually small minority of people!

maybe admissions got lazy and just figured “no more reviewing apps, let’s just admit everyone”

@pmast25‌ Hope that’s the case!!

This probably means that there weren’t many applications for ED2 right? I don’t know if that is good or bad?

Whatever the reason, I’m just glad the the excruciating wait is being shortened

yeah this is extremely painless compared to what the wait would have been like! It would have been even better had they not announced the decisions until after they had been made.
