Congrats to Moonpie’s DD (belatedly) and to Highjack!!!

waiting for a letter here today in florida! fingers crossed!

No letter here in MD. Expecting it tomorrow!

Rejected…32 ACT 3.78 GPA all AP classes and realy good extracurriculars.

Rejected as well…an extremely sad day for me.

Yikes - a flat out rejection with a 32 ACT? I am very sorry for you CLBI43 and jewell95.

Was the rejection just one sheet of paper? Could you tell from the envelope? My daughter is wanting to wait until her party to open it. I’m trying to talk her out of it. Wish I could tell from the envelope…

You either getting accepted or rejected…no deferral

Yeah rejection is just one sheet of paper you should be able to tell from the envelope.

And where are you located Pandabear

You can definitely tell from the envelope,

Outside Memphis

CLBI143 & Jewell95 - SO sorry! This is making me really nervous! S just left house for a while & mail isn’t here yet. Guess we are at 2 for 4? Have I counted right?

One of my close friends just got her letter…denied :frowning:
she applied to Peabody with a 32 ACT
I hope the rest of you have better luck!

CLB and Jewell- I’m so sorry for you both. I know there’s really nothing that anyone can say that will help, but you both are AMAZING candidates- seriously! Even if this didn’t work out, you’ll both end up at fabulous schools.

So sorry CLBI143 and Jewell95. That’s the hard thing about Vandy, so many applicants, so few spots. My heart hurts for you, but it’s not a reflection on you. They have to be somewhat arbitrary because all the candidates are top-notch. Don’t be discouraged. It just means there’s a better experience waiting for you somehwere else. I know someone who was rejected ED at Princeton, and then rejected from her next choice (Stanford I think) and ended up at MIT and is SO happy there she’s glad she didn’t end up at either of the schools she thought she wanted. The perfect match is out there.

Thanks guys, good luck to everyone! Any suggestions for schools very similar to Vandy but maybe a bit easier to get into

jewell95, check out Wake Forest. Ranked 25 in the nation and they don’t require any standardized test scores. A friend of mine plays football there, and he loves it. Says when they went to play Vandy he found it to be very similar. Best of luck!

Thanks, will do!
