I got into both of my in-state options (Michigan and MSU) so I want to apply to one reach school. I might apply to Vanderbilt because I like its location and it seems to be very generous with financial aid. How is Vanderbilt's civil engineering program? Could I even get in? On a side note, what are the students like? Is the school really conservative and closed minded? Are the students preppy and politically apathetic? Are the girls amazingly hot? lol (No disrespect intended; those are just some things I've heard)

Stats:
GPA: 4.02
ACT: 32
Rank: 6/460
A few decent ECs...nothing special
lots of AP and honors classes
