Vanderbilt transfer 2022

Vandy is one of my top choices. I just really hoped I’d hear a definite decision soon. It seems like waitlisted candidates don’t hear back till June

I think more of them hear in May. Especially once the ivies release their decisions.

Just a bit trickier with transfer admissions because there’s no “May 1” decision deadline equivalent.

You got waitlisted which is a huge deal! It means you are qualified and vandy liked you like that’s a huge accomplishment they could still totally accept you i just personally never got off but i tried again and am waiting to hear and you can always do that too!

Goodluck with your decisions!

I’ve looked through past threads and it seemed like there were no waitlist admits in May.

May I ask where you got this information from? Would make me feel much better haha

I know the deposit is due May 11 so maybe around there?

My D transferred last year and a couple of her friends were initially waitlisted and then admitted in May. Things absolutely happen in June too. I agree it’s completely frustrating to have to wait for closure!

It ends up a bit of a mad scramble at the end for some students.

Has someone called the admissions office to ask if more waves are this week? I saw somewhere that apparently the first wave wasn’t complete.

Thank you so much!

Wait really? What if they were releasing a lot of Econ major decisions and doing the rest

I just called the admissions office and they said the second wave would come out between mid to late May…

Ok that was expected bc i bet they wait till after the first deposit deadline

I think that is for the second wave, I called and asked if the first wave is over and they said no, the first wave will last for a few days

When did you call? I am not hearing this from anyone. Many say the wave is over.

I called today they said they sent the first wave yesterday and they will just keep sending them out as they read them but didn’t give deadlines

Like two hours ago, on the discord and on reddit it seems half were told there is more to come and half were told no more until mid may.

it kind of seems like the AOs have individual deadlines based on the mix of responses… so perhaps just wait till today around 4pm est and if there’s nothing, assume mid-may as the next wave?

Seeing as someone in Admissions was saying mid may since the beginning and they were clearly wrong, I wouldn’t be surprised if more came out soon despite the fact that they keep saying mid may

Were emails sent at exactly 3:00 CST? Or within a couple min of that time

I thought I read that someone got an email at 1:14
