@mjr2013
I’m glad you had such a great experience!
I also applied to Colorado College and when I sent them a document proving my financial need(as it was required by the commonapp when my fees were waived), they actually sent my a waiver code for my CSS Profile.
I was like…
Dawwwhhh <3 <3<3
Some colleges really leave a great impression on you!
This last wait is going to be brutal. I turned in my app in in January. Feels like I’ve been waiting forever. Hope I get a decision during the first wave. Good luck everyone
@watermychances Do you know when the first wave is?
First wave should be around April 10th judging from previous years
i doubt it will be that early, because they update portals the friday before emails so that would mean decision would be out april 7th which is nowhere near mid april. i think that portals will be updated april 14th the earliest and emails april 17th… but also i had a really frustrating experience with waiting for admissions decisions last year so i have no faith. lol
does anybody else have garth parke as an admissions counselor? he literally never responds to my emails and it’s impossible to get into contact with him. it’s really frustrating.
@somehmonggirl , mine isn’t too responsive either but I’d like to believe that it’s because of the heavy work load that admissions must be having now. Regular decisions haven’t been released yet, right?
last year my counselor was a different person and she always replied to my emails within 24 hours unless she was out of office in which case i got an automated email indicating that she was gone. and she consistently answered me from january until august when the waitlist closed…
@somehmonggirl I have him, I emailed him 2 days ago and he hasnt responded either
he’s left at least 5 of my emails not responded to … don’t want to complain and be a brat but it’s kind of ridiculous especially after having such a good counselor last year
You could always just try calling and asking to be transferred to his office.
i’ve called his office directly before and got an automated message… my questions aren’t big or extremely time sensitive enough for me to feel like calling him and leaving messages until he replies is worth it… but it’s ridiculous
Guys is the Mid-Year college report not a required item? My MyAppVU states my Applicant Checklist as “completed” but I’m not sure if this is a mistake and I actually need a mid year report. I have no set grades anyway for this semester…
@Sarangatang , I don’t think it is but I sent them mine anyways due to how long it’s been since I’ve graduated high-school. They accepted and added it to my profile, no biggie.
You don’t have your mid-term grades yet?
@AGoodFloridian yeah lmao I actually have nothing set in stone yet, everything’s only finalized at the very end for me which is kinda weird
So if I don’t have them before they release decisions, I’m probably fine?
@limitsbylaw i’m pretty sure we’re all good, after all the professors choose to enter the grades at the end of term
I’m pretty sure that Vandy/other schools want a mid year/mid semester report before they make a decision on your application.
I dont think that the mid-year report is required, only the transfer college report. It says so on the transfer checklist on the vandy website.
