nothing
Another day another disappointment
vandys literally just playing with us at this point
I know this is a long shot, but the admissions office doesn’t close until 5PM… there is still time for it to come out today, although it’s most likely next week!
I bet it’s going to be next Tuesday at 5:15 pm. That seems to be the most historically consistent time.
anything?
I’m thinking the same thing @theriley106
nope, nothing
As you guys are anxiously waiting for the first wave results, I’ve something to ask: How many of you are applying from a community college?
I ask bc, unfortunately, Vanderbilt makes it rather clear on their admissions website that they prefer transfers from full-time, residential colleges. Any and all responses appreciated!
@USCWolverine I’m applying from a community college. I’d like to believe that what they’re hinting at is that they would want applicants who would fit in well in a residential environment like Vanderbilt.
Most applicants from CC never had that experience and would stand to gain much from it, while also bringing some of their unique life experiences into the mix. Coming from a CC wouldn’t exclude you, in other words.
“Decisions will start to come out by the end of the month and will continue to come out in May and even June. You will get an e-mail from us with more info before your decision is released.”
From my Vandy counselor
@longwaydriver Well, that doesn’t seem very good. But, if we take what the counselor said as right, then the first wave will be this week because May will start the week after…fingers crossed.
June? Who knows if we’ll even be alive that far from now?
A little later than usual, but at least we know with a reasonable amount of certainty that we’ll hear back this week. For those who applied to other selective colleges, this is when the game really begins hahahaha
From here on out, you can expect at least one decision per week until the end of May- if you applied to a a good handful! Brace yourselves <3
@AGoodFloridian How many colleges did you apply to? I also go to a community college. I applied to 11 schools but 2 of them were state schools that I’ve already been accepted to as back ups.
my counselor is also the assistant director of admissions. so I guess there’s some credibility to that lol
@hopeful112
Good move! I applied to 12 in total, my in-state UF which is almost a guarantee (I say this because I’m coming from a FL CC, articulation agreement, etc). 11 are among the more selective colleges in the country, including Vandy. I combed through previous threads and made a list of possible dates and it’s likely I’ll hear at least 3 decisions a week, with the climax being the second week of May (Princeton, Dartmouth, Stanford, and Duke. That’ll be fun huh)
What are your top choices? (Besides Vanderbilt of course <3 )
Just read it again, they said you’ll get an email before it’s released. Which means we gotta be on the look out for some emails. How many days before the decision would they email us?
Guys this is pretty urgent, is there anybody here that is a Computer Science major or nows about coding?
I think there is a way to know admissions earlier (or at least I hope so)
@TheLastofUs9 I won’t stop you but I’d encourage you not to bypass any systems in place to view your decision beforehand. You’re free to do whatever, but I think the risk is too large.
