If you want someone to call or email for a date, then I suggest you email or call yourself. It’s not like something stops you from doing it. They probably won’t tell you anything other than what you already know, but it is more convincing for you to call or email on your own and get that direct reply instead of going through someone else as an intermediary. It could ease your anxiety more.
And if you don’t want to call or email yourself, don’t ask someone else to do it either.

last year all that was left was rejects and waitlist. They admit in the beginning and reject one’s that don’t meet basic requirements or don’t pass the preliminary checks. Then they sort the applicants out and rank them and a set amount are sets, another (possible accepts if the one’s accepted earlier don’t commit, then waitlist and rejects). Everytime someone doesn’t commit, you move up a spot. That’s how vandy seems to work

Right now only the first wave was out. The “second wave” was only a ripple so there could definitely be more potential acceptances out there to be given. Someone I knew who was accepted to both Duke and Emory haven’t heard back yet either so definitely don’t give up hope. We have to wait for the result anyway so we may as well wait with a positive mindset.

Yeah, that’s true. I am in the same boat kind of. Accepted to UNC (out of state), Cornell, Berkeley, and a few others… obviously not trying to be cocky, just did not expect for Vandy to be the “no” out of the pool. I tried the hardest on the Vandy essays lol

Hmmmm I mean Vandy is more selective than all of the above you mentioned. The thing is that people who are qualified for Stanford or Columbia or Penn are also probably applying to Vandy. They could have committed to Vandy because the other schools haven’t yet all come out. I am from a top 30 nationally and top 5 public school, and I am an out of state who got in last year through first year application. I know at least 3 other out of state friends at my school who applied to Vandy. Two of them are already accepted by Vandy and the other who is still waiting has already gotten into Duke and Emory. You never know how the college app process works. And since you don’t know if you are going to be rejected, don’t think like you are already rejected. Hope for the best! And it’s not your fault even if you don’t get in.

Last year, this thursday was the wave of acceptance (mostly CAS,and a few COE). But they accepted many during first wave so idk

I’m probably doing the same because I don’t even think I’m in this wave (my midterm report button is still up) and I just need to commit to a school. If Vandy accepts me and gives me aid then maybe I’ll just forfeit my deposit, but like eh

called the admissions office and they said that decisions are released this evening. They were vague about it but they said this evening.
