Vanderbilt vs Tufts economics

I am trying to figure out if Vanderbilt or Tufts would be better for economics or if they would just be relatively the same. I want to go into investment banking or consulting. Thanks!

Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt for sure.

Tufts.
For sure.

Vanderbilt is the obvious answer.

Vanderbilt is a semi-target school. Tufts is a not a target school.

I’m not seeing any people give you specific reasons for their opinions, so I will vote too! Tufts!

The reason for Vanderbilt is simple. It’s one of the schools that some firms target when they’re hiring for IB jobs. Tufts isn’t a target at least to my knowledge.

Does anyone have any numbers to back these opinions up?

If you want to go into IBanking/Finance, you will probably have more recruiting opportunities at Vanderbilt (Tufts doesnt have a B-school so suffers a bit in this regard).

If you want to do something that overlaps Polisci/IR with Econ Tufts might be a better option since the Fletcher School is top notch

As you can tell by these posts the overall difference is pretty small…
