Hello all! I was wondering if you could help me out with a problem I'm having with the FAFSA.

I'm a rising senior who has made negligible amounts for the past few summers. There is a good chance that I am going to have another similarly low-paying internship this summer, so on the FAFSA I put this low salary for my expected summer earnings. However, I am in the final stages of the application for an internship that pays considerably higher, high enough to pass the protected student earnings. I won't know about the job until after submitting the FAFSA and the rest of my finaid documents. If I get the job am I expected to contact my school to let them know about my new earnings? I obviously would rather not have half of my paycheck docked, and I won't be submitting the FAFSA next year, so I'd love to have this point slip under the table. That said, I'm honest and responsible, and if I'm expected to report this money to someone, I would like to do so. Any advice?
