Hi,
I'm new to CC so if I have formatted or done anything weirdly, sorry.
I'm a student from the UK.

Accepted by Edinburgh, Warwick, Nottingham for economics.
(Rejected by Durham, St Andrews)

Accepted by UPenn (Wharton), Duke, Northwestern and Boston College.
(Rejected by Princeton, Yale)

I definitely want to go into business (hopefully start my own).
I'm interested in theoretical economics as well as the application of it.

I was wondering, if it's a no-brainer to choose Wharton.
I visited Penn very briefly (only for the tour) last easter, so I have seen it.
But I didn't spend as much time on campus (to get a feel for the community) as I would have liked and I barely saw Philly.
It's also too expensive to fly over for the Preview days.
Neither have I visited any of the other universities though (will visit Edinburgh soon).

Could someone please give me an idea as to what Philly is like.
Thanks,
Chelseaboy

P.S I want to hear all your opinions, but please don't give me hate.

I’d recommend giving strong consideration to Penn/Wharton even if you plan to return to the UK after graduating. Both Penn and Wharton have significant international reputations (e.g., looking at two British publications, Penn is usually ranked among the top 20 universities in the world by the Times Higher Education Supplement, and the Financial Times has been ranking Wharton as the top MBA program in the world for many years). Additionally, for an American university and business school, Penn and Wharton have large percentages of international students, with 40 countries represented among Wharton’s 527 matriculating freshmen this year:
