Various questions about online AP courses, and some other things

D is entering her junior year of high school. She's been homeschooled all the way through. Last school year she took the PSAT and scored higher than 210. She also took two AP exams -- Calculus BC and Music Theory -- and got a 5 in both. We prepared her for all of this. She's will be taking the PSAT again as well as the SAT this fall.

She is planning on studying music at college.

She'd like to take AP courses in history and English this year, online, as neither my husband nor I feel that we can be sure that we are preparing her for the composition/essay parts of these exams well enough. She is a terrific reader, and we have done a lot of reading and discussion but want some kind of outside advice regarding the writing part.

I know that it is a bit late in the summer, but does anyone have any recommendations? We'd be really sorry to pay for a course that will not prepare her adequately -- as homeschoolers, I'm sure that you all understand that it's hard to relinquish control!

We also would like for her to take some kind of online science course. She's studied biology, chemistry, and physics, but to demonstrate this to colleges we feel that she should really do something extra. Ideas? Thoughts?

Thank you in advance.

Have you used online schools/classes before? Do you prefer Christian, secular or does it matter? Do you have a budget?

Some schools with AP/college level classes that come to mind to check out:

EPGY
The Potter’s School
PA Homeschoolers
University of Missouri

Just recently heard about BlueTentOnline:

Really, if you do a google search for “AP History online classes” or “AP Literature online classes” or something similar, you should find a litany of options.
